Winter robin's nest
The north wind dost blow
And we shall have snow!
But what about Robin, poor thing?
He'll hide in the barn
To keep himself warm,
And tuck his head under his wing...
Poor thing.

Wheat
"A friend is one to whom one may pour out the contents of one's heart, chaff and grain together, knowing that gentle hands will take and sift it, keep what is worth keeping, and with a breath of kindness, blow the rest away."

Snowy fields
Chill airs and wintry winds! my ear
Has grown familiar with your song;
I hear it in the opening year,
I listen and it cheers me long.

I have but one lamp by which my feet are guided, and that is the lamp of experience.

A cup of tea
Brew me a cup for a winter's night.
For the wind howls loud, and the furies fight;
Spice it with love and stir it with care,
And I'll toast your bright eyes, my sweetheart fair.

A Box of angels
I saw this box of discarded angels at the local thrift store. I couldn't quite decide why I found it interesting. It seemed very sad, so I decided to think about the words of a hymn instead:
When the songs of the angels is stilled.
When the star in the sky is gone.
When the king and the shepherds have found their way home,
The work of Christmas has begun.
